Hyunwoo’s research is focused on fundamental studies and applications of soft materials including hydrogels and elastomers. In larger theme, he studies soft materials technologies for merging human and machine through a broad spectrum of topics such as robust wet adhesion, 3D printing of soft materials, and bioelectronics.
